About Scale Heritage Museum
Explore History in Scale.
Scale Heritage Museum is a Norwegian digital initiative that makes railway history, military vehicle heritage and scale modelling easier to discover and explore.
Our concept is simple: we connect enthusiasts and curious minds with historical knowledge, technical information and inspiring model experiences available across the internet.
Rather than maintaining a physical collection or a large editorial archive, we offer a convenient starting point for exploring the machines that have shaped the history of engineering and transportation.
Norwegian Initiative
Operated by Microgreen, a Norwegian non-profit association.
For Enthusiasts
Created for model builders, collectors and history enthusiasts.
Shared Worldwide
A global community united by a passion for technical heritage.
Our Areas of Interest
Our main interests are historic locomotives and model railways, military vehicles and their scale replicas, radio-controlled models, and precision engineering and mechanical craftsmanship.
Through curated web searches and video content, you can explore both the original machines and their detailed scale-model counterparts.
Created in Norway. Open to the World.
Scale Heritage Museum is operated by Microgreen, a Norwegian non-profit association dedicated to technical hobbies and heritage.
Our ambition is to spark curiosity, share enthusiasm and make historical and technical knowledge accessible to an international audience.
In Collaboration with Scale RC Garage
Our featured video channel, Scale RC Garage, captures scale models in motion, with realistic sound, detailed craftsmanship and authentic Norwegian scenery.
The channel features model trains, RC vehicles, historic military models and workshop projects, all filmed in Norway.
Our Philosophy
Explore the past. Discover and build. Enjoy the models.
History becomes even more fascinating when we understand the machines behind it.
Welcome to Scale Heritage Museum.
